Photography Now is for those who want a comprehensive and exclusive insight into the contemporary photographic landscape and its key players in London at this critical juncture in the 21st century.
 
This intensive one week course will include private gallery visits, curators’ talks at major public collections, exclusive photographers’ studio visits as well as sessions on collecting and how to make the most out of the art market, providing an extensive understanding of the photographic world in London now.
 
This summer course offers the chance to tour  Tate Modern, Tate Britain and the Victoria and Albert Museum photography collections with a curator at your side. You will have access to Christie’s Photographic Department, where you will be able to handle works and meet the specialists. The course also includes a number of visits to contemporary photographers’ studios and access to private gallery sessions with private collectors.
 
Led by writer and critic John Slyce.
 
This course is organised by The Photographers’ Gallery in collaboration with Christie’s Education.

Please note there are special terms and conditions for this course.
Fees must be paid in full at the time of enrolment. Enrolment is on a strictly first come first served basis.
It is not possible to replace individual sessions that you are unable to attend with sessions on a future course.
The Photographers' Gallery reserves the right to alter the content and dates of all courses and to cancel advertised courses as a result of circumstances beyond their control.
Should any student who has enrolled on a course find that they need to withdraw or transfer to a different course, please note the following:
Withdrawal more than 28 days before the start of the course - 90% refund of course fee. You will be liable for an administration fee equal to 10% of the course fee.
Withdrawal 28 days or less before the start of the course - no refunds.
Withdrawal after the start of the course - no refunds.
 
This course is priced so that proceeds raised will go directly to support The Photographers' Gallery education programme, which aims to ensure access by a wide audience to our regular talks and events.
