Professor Martyn Poliakoff, University of Nottingham is obsessed with plastic bottles - but can the chemistry that makes them ever be green? Prof Poliakoff will discuss the application, and future, of green chemistry in manufacturing and products, as well as plastic bottles.   

Professor Martyn Poliakoff studied at King's College, Cambridge, B.A (1969) and Ph.D. (1973), and is currently Professor of Chemistry at Nottingham University. His research interests are focused on supercritical fluids, continuous reactions and their applications to Green Chemistry. Watch the Periodic Table live www.periodicvideos.com.
