The Photographers’ Gallery digital programme considers the role photography plays in our everyday lives, particularly through new media and digital technologies.
This season begins with a new work by Joey Holder, commissioned for Conspiracy Week, that looks at the ways in which manipulated images are appropriated and circulated as ‘fact’ on the internet. On our new platform unthinking.photography we have commissioned new texts on a theme of Fauxtography - a term coined to describe the blatant use of manipulated images in the news. We currently have a call for proposals for workshops and events for our forthcoming Experimental Photo School. Find out more and apply by 28 Feb.
