Our internships are paid positions designed specifically to support those who have a genuine and demonstrable passion for photography and the arts, but who may not have had an opportunity to work professionally within these areas before.
Internships are offered in our curatorial, communications, education and development teams with the aim to provide practical experience to help develop careers in these fields.
Each internship has its own role description, and is line managed by a senior manager within the relevant department.
Internships last a minimum of three months but are usually six months in duration, with a commitment of one to three days per week. We pay £7.20 per hour and a normal working day is eight hours. Our interns qualify for the same holiday and sick pay terms as all of our employees.
Internships are advertised on our website on our vacancy page and promoted via our Twitter feed @TPGallery. We follow an open application process which includes an application form, interview and initial probationary period.
We select people based on the closest match to our requirements for each internship, which are outlined in the application pack.
We are an equal opportunities employer, and encourage applications from all sections of the community.
