Joel Meyerowitz (born in New York, 1938) is an award-winning photographer whose work has appeared in more than 350 exhibitions in museums and galleries around the world.

He is a two-time Guggenheim fellow, a recipient of awards from both the NEA and NEH, and a winner of the Deutscher Fotobuchpreis. He has published nineteen books, including Cape Light (1978), Legacy: The Preservation of Wilderness in New York City Parks (2009) and in 2012, his fifty year, retrospective book, Taking My Time will be published by Phaidon.
