The collision of photography with planetary scale computing is transforming the medium, creating new job opportunities even as it destroys others. Will computers take over the roles of curators, editors and readers of photography? What new forms of photographic intimacy will be possible through technology? How can we harness new tools to transform our understanding of the photography studio?
Over the 28 and 29 May we present a series of workshops and events at the Gallery exploring photography in an age of computer vision, mobile apps, virtual worlds and the networked photographic studio.
