The Photographers’ Gallery is the UK’s leading centre for the presentation and exploration of photography in all its forms and a dedicated home for an international photographic community.
Established in London in 1971, the Gallery has been instrumental in promoting photography’s pivotal role in culture and society, and securing its position as a leading art form.
Over the last four decades the Gallery has been responsible for introducing audiences to key names in international photography such as Robert Capa, Andreas Gursky, Sebastião Salgado, Taryn Simon and Juergen Teller, as well as supporting new talen and promoting the work of UK-based practitioners including Corrine Day, Nick Knight and Martin Parr.
As a registered charity, The Photographers’ Gallery is increasingly reliant on the support of individuals, companies, trusts and foundations and other funding sources to help us keep photography at the heart of contemporary culture. We can’t do it without you.
