Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation Prize 2019: Brief Encounters

The Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation Prize is an annual award and exhibition, established by The Photographers’ Gallery in 1996, dedicated to identifying and rewarding innovation and excellence in photography.

This year’s shortlisted artists are Laia Abril, Susan Meiselas, Arwed Messmer and Mark Ruwedel, whose nominated projects explore state and gender politics, social injustice, human rights and conceptual approaches to image making.
