Talk: Geoff Dyer on looking at Photographs (online)

This event is part of our Past Programme

Writer Geoff Dyer discusses his ongoing fascination with looking and reading photographs

Photographs provide a mirror to society, framing how we see things and revealing to us the myths that have shaped our histories. In this new talk with acclaimed writer, Geoff Dyer, we will look at how to read a photograph and the stories it can tell us about our past, present and selves. Chaired by Brett Rogers (Director, The Photographers' Gallery).

This event also marks the publication of Dyer's new book, See/Saw.  Ticket holders can purchase a copy at 15% discount from our bookshop on the evening.  We have 25 signed copies available

Details on how to access the talk will be confirmed upon registration. Please check your junk folders if you haven't received an email from TPG staff confirming your place.

Watch this event from Thu 22 Apr, 18.30 BST

Pay What You Can

In light of the unprecedented challenges we are all facing at this time, we have introduced Pay What You Can ticketing for many of our online talks and events.

Anyone can book on to one of these events and pay as much or as little as they are able. A typical ticket would cost between £5 and £8. Any more than that is greatly appreciated and goes directly into supporting our public programmes.

By booking for this event you agree to our Terms & Conditions.
