Matthew Stephenson - Chair
Matthew Stephenson was appointed Chair of trustees in Autumn 2017. He is an enthusiastic and passionate international art world professional with extensive auction and commercial gallery experience. A former Senior Director at Pace London, Matthew is able to seamlessly engage with artists, curators, collectors and journalists. As well as his specialist knowledge and networks, Matthew brings a wealth of strategy, development and fundraising skills to the Gallery.
Jananne Al-Ani is a London based Iraqi-born artist. She studied Fine Art at the Byam Shaw School of Art and graduated with an MA in Photography from the Royal College of Art. She is currently Senior Research Fellow at the University of the Arts London. Exhibiting widely both nationally and internationally, her recent work explores the impact of photography, flight and the technologies of modern warfare on the representation of contested landscapes.
Myfanwy is a highly experienced and effective public sector finance director. As the Finance Director at the House of Commons she has significantly improved governance, financial management and efficiency.

Symon Elliott is Founder and CEO of Leaders Futures, an enterprise and foundation offering mentoring to senior leaders in business and civil society. He was previously Managing Director, CEO and Board Services at Russell Reynolds advising organisations on board evaluation, performance and succession. Symon is Chair of Centrepoint the leading UK charity providing support for homeless young people and an ambassador for Leaders Quest, a social enterprise working with leaders to create a more equitable world.
Alex holds a BA in Art History from Princeton, an MA in Communications from the University of Pennsylvania and an MPP from Harvard University. Alex is also a founder of Level 20, a not-for-profit company set up to support gender diversity in private equity. Alex has been an avid Fine Art Photography collector and enthusiast for many years.
Melanie Manchot is a London based visual artist who works with photography, ﬁlm and video as a performative and participatory practice. Recent solo shows include 'The Gift' at Bloomberg Space, '11/18' at fig-2/ICA, London and her major new video installation ‘Twelve’ is currently presented as a solo national touring show from 2015-2016. Melanie has participated in a number of biennials and her work is held in public collections both nationally and internationally.

Jonathan is Professor of Photography and Media and Director of Disruptive Media Learning Lab at Coventry University. The work he leads seeks to challenge assumptions surrounding, and open up new horizons for, higher education and networked media in the 21st century. Jonathan is also Chair of the Board of Directors for Birmingham Open Media (BOM), where art, technology and science collide.
Daniel Oudkerk QC
Daniel Oudkerk QC is a silk at Essex Court Chambers. He specialises in commercial and employment litigation with a substantial Court and advisory practice. He is also a member of the BBC Diversity Panel set up by Lord Hall in 2014.
