Education Group Visits

For schools, colleges and universities

In order to remain Covid-compliant we have changed our group booking arrangements:

Please note:

  • Before noon is usually quieter
  • PPE and social distancing from all visitors is required

Group visits can currently take place from Tuesday – Friday, during Gallery opening hours. In order to regulate numbers in the building the Gallery operates a timed entry system to our exhibitions with visiting periods starting on the hour.

Group visits will be limited to 18 people (including group leaders) for a 45-minute visit to the exhibitions. Groups of over 18 people (including group leaders) can also make a visit but will be required to split into two groups and stay on separate floors.

To enquire about making a group visit, please email info@tpg.org.uk with:

  • the subject header ‘Group Visit: [name of school/college/centre]’
  • your preferred visit date and time
  • your second choice visit date and time
  • group leader name, phone number
  • number of people in group, including group leaders
  • age/age range of group

We aim to process all enquiries within two working days.

Accessibility

The Photographers' Gallery is committed to ensuring equal opportunities and accessibility for staff, artists and visitors.

The main entrance is at street level on Ramillies Street, off Great Marlborough Street.  The building is DDA compliant and has a lift to all floors. We have wheelchair accessible toilets and baby changing facilities on the third and fifth floors.

Assistance dogs are welcome. A water bowl is available on request.

We programme British Sign Language-led or interpreted, as well as audio-described, exhibition tours. Entry to talks and events is free for companions accompanying visitors with a disability. Visit What's On for our current programme.
