Photographing People in the Street

Talk 14.00 - 15.00, Practical workshop 15.30 - 18.00

Level: Explore
Ages: 14-24

The beauty about being a photographer is that you don't always have to find models in order to start building a portfolio. We live in a world full of people and what better subjects than the characters we meet every day? Street photography is a brilliant way to create more with what you have and it's a great discipline to train your eye. Led by Niall McDiarmid, this workshop is an opportunity to learn from the best about how to shoot on the street. This is a great opportunity to practice your communication skills and confidence by talking to strangers while getting the chance to use our resources to build your portfolio. Who knows who you'll get to meet?

This event is part of DEVELOP: Preparing for a Career in the Photography Industry a programme for young people interested in learning more about a career in the photography industry.
