WATCH: Screen Walk with The Dazzle Club
Watch The Dazzle Club in a live-streamed online expedition
The Dazzle Club walked pixelated streets and squares of London, leading participants into their archive of routes exploring publicness, autonomy and visibility. A live analogue intervention framed questions around the new publicness of our homes and how video conferencing interjects further surveillance into the domestic.
Screen Walks is a new series of live-streamed artist/researcher-led explorations of online spaces and artistic strategies designed to illuminate a thriving – often overlooked – digital cultural scene. A new online collaboration between The Photographers’ Gallery, UK and Fotomuseum Winterthur, Switzerland.

The Dazzle Club is a collaboration between AiR and Yoke Collective that questions technology and surveillance in public space. We are drawing awareness and building new expressions of community creativity and trust. The Dazzle Club has been featured widely in national and international media including by Reuters, BBC, i-D, and the Observer. Upcoming exhibitions include NESTA Future Fest 2020 and Galleria Municipal, Porto in March 2020.
AiR makes social art in everyday spaces. We curate progressive public projects through staying in a place, collaborating with citizens, artists, local authorities, universities, charities and community organisations to bring about new ways of being and doing together. www.airstudio.org.
Yoke Collective is an artistic and curatorial partnership between Georgina Rowlands and Emily Roderick. Their collaborative performance-based artworks, events and online residencies challenge the positioning of the female body within the algorithms of facial and full-body recognition. www.instagram.com/yokecollective.
