Street Portraiture with Niall McDiarmid
11.00 - 17.00
This one-day practical workshop led by photographer Niall McDiarmid aims to encourage participants to find their own style in the field of street portraiture.
Following an introduction to McDiarmid's work, as well as a discussion of the history of street portraiture, exploring the work of others in the field, participants will take to the streets of Soho to take their own photographs. Advice is given on identifying potential spots for portraits, finding and working with subjects on the street, taking their images and the equipment used, as well as feedback in a review session at the end of the day.
Participants are encouraged to use their own camera although a small number are available to borrow. No prior experience is necessary.
