Chris Killip, Retrospective
Showing over 140 works, this exhibition serves as the most comprehensive survey of the photographer's work to date.
Book nowWe relaunch with a bang this autumn with a historic retrospective of British documentary photographer, Chris Killip, amassing over 140 works that impressively span the course of his career. There will also be a book release accompanying this exhibition, so make sure to take a look. Whilst on our 2nd floor, An Alternative History of Photography invites you to look again at well known works and new discoveries by major artists alongside forgotten greats, regional champions and unknown artists including Ansel Adams, Diane Arbus, Robert Frank, Man Ray, and Edward Weston. The exhibition positions these alongside those of Helen Stuart and John Lindt, early, self-trained practitioner Lady Augusta Mostyn, and African studio photographers Sanlé Sory, Michel Kameni, and Malick Sidibé, amongst many, many others.
As ever, on our ground floor, you will find our Café Bar stocked with freshly ground coffee and even fresher beverages, as well as a light yet filling menu, with plenty of vegan and vegetarian options.
Do also visit our Bookshop and Print Sales Gallery on our lower ground floor, where you'll be able to find latest editions and the best recommendations.
