31. Sanctuary

"I lock the door for ten minutes of peace in the shower each morning. It doesn't stop toes creeping under the door, loud bangs or cries."

Family Photography Now, directive and week 30: Show me a image that represents a place, or people in which or with whom, you find sanctuary in your everyday

“I spend a lot of time in the Swedish countryside and surprisingly for me, I find sanctuary and refuge in this place that I visit regularly - something I wasn’t expecting on my first visit.  We live in a time when many people don’t have a permanent place of refuge, or sanctuary. This is important to think about.  Some people have no home whilst others do not feel their home offers them refuge. So sanctuary for some is something to be found in perhaps unexpected places. “
