This event is part of our Past Programme

11:00 - 16:00

Visit our Eranda studio (third floor) to view this special exhibition of ten different still and moving image projects. A group of young people attending schools in the London Boroughs of Westminster, Hammersmith & Fulham and Harrow have been working since last Summer toward their Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) in Photography.

Work produced for this exhibition, alongside written work, will be submitted for assessment and moderation for their EPQ. This qualification provides an opportunity for students to extend their abilities beyond their sixth form course of study, stand out and prepare for university or their future career.

The Photographers' Gallery developed this three-year pilot project in response to the dwindling photography programmes in secondary schools. Each year, a new cohort of pupils takes part in the programme. Applications are now open for 2023/2024. Find out more here.

The EPQ in Photography programme is supported by John Lyon's Charity, with additional support from staff at John Lyon School. The EPQ in Photography teacher is Elle Andrews and the EPQ in Photography Teaching Assistant is Eva Jonas.
