Taking its name from the current exhibition at the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Sri Lanka, this event brings artists Nina Mangalanyagam and Reginald S Aloysius in conversation with curators Sandev Handy and Sharmini Pereira. Sri Lankan and working in diaspora, shared across their respective practices is an inquiry into notions of otherness, multiplicity, loneliness and home. Together they will address the entangled subject of foreignness.
This event includes a panel discussion with the attending artists and curators, and will feature a selection of moving image work currently exhibited in The Foreigners at MMCA Sri Lanka. Moderated by Hammad Nasar.
Presenting video work by: Dinelka Liyanage, Hania Luthufihg, Isuru Kumarasinghe, Nina Mangalanayagam, Imaad Majeed and Sumudi Suraweera.
