Mick Williamson’s ongoing photographic practice since the 1970s has involved the daily use of a small, half-frame analogue camera. This growing body of work, with over two million images in his archive, is testament to his curiosity and wonder for everyday life.Director Rod Morris joins Mick Williamson for a screening of The Photo-Diaries of Mick Williamson (2022) followed by a Q&A. After the event, the artist signs copies of his new book From the Photo-Diaries of Mick Williamson (2023, Silverhill Press).
Biographies:
Rod Morris is an award-winning photographer and film maker. His roadfactorystudios is based in Hastings and he has worked on a range of collaborations including with Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Conran, Oxfam, Greenpeace, the AELCT/BBC and the British Museum.
Mick Williamson is a British artist/photographer and educator. He has exhibited nationally and internationally and taught photography at London Metropolitan University (formerly London Guildhall University/City of London Polytechnic) from 1975 – 2018.
