About the speaker:

Jasmine Pierre is a cultural producer, writer and cultural worker. Her practice is informed by diasporic histories and guided by personal experiences. Her work explores how archives and art can be used as vessels for storytelling and for platforming historically excluded voices and cultures.

She co-curated Black Cultural Archives’ 75th Windrush anniversary exhibition ‘Over A Barrel: Windrush Children, Tragedy and Triumph'. She is also a co-founder of (h)OURS, a community centring connection through consciously designed spaces and experiences. Through this work, Jasmine has consulted museums such as Tate and Rijksmuseum on community building. She is currently the Executive Assistant at Black Cultural Archives.
