Every weekend we hand over our Instagram grid (@thephotographersgallery) to a different photographer or practitioner as part of our Takeovers programme. Platforming a range of unique bodies of work and perspectives from around the world gives photographers a chance to share the fundamentals of their creative practice, to expand upon current conversations in photography and showcase work or projects which align with what’s on at the Gallery now.
Current #TPGTakeover Artists
In November 2025 we featured:
Olga Sokal (@olgasokal) is a photographer and visual artist based between Paris and New York City.
In her personal practice, she draws on her background in film and drawing, which often informs her approach to photography and moving image. Olga’s work explores themes of labor and capitalism, examining how advertising uses imagery to sell ideas and desire. She often takes inspiration from movies and pop culture, creating a distinctive and visually engaging world that merges cinematic references with her own artistic perspective. For #TPGTakeovers, she shared works from her projects, Black Stone Burns and Pink Zin/sketchbook.
Cole Flynn Quirke (@deconstructing_paradise) is a London-based photographer whose work balances on the tension between solitude and connection. Through a deeply personal lens, he explores how the vastness of the city can hold both distance and intimacy, how certain encounters can become moments of revelation and reflection. Cole’s work focuses on introspective visual storytelling. A graduate of the Royal College of Art in Photography, he now shares his expertise as a lecturer at London College of Fashion (LCF). Cole has published two photo books with Jane & Jeremy: Even a Maniac Can Learn to Drive (now sold out), and House of the Stray Dog, a project focusing on the evidence of life whilst exploring motifs of presence, memory, and the solitude of adulthood. All of Cole’s work is hand printed in a darkroom in his hometown of Brighton, a space that has served as the foundation of his photographic practice for nearly a decade.
Godiva Omoruyi (@godivaomoruyi_) is a Nigerian photographer and visual storyteller who explores the vibrant culture and daily life in Lagos. With a background in various photography styles, he highlights often-overlooked spaces that reveal the essence of identity and community. In his series "Made in Lagos," Godiva captures the city's lively street life with intimacy and authenticity. His latest project, Cabinet of Curiosity, focuses on the dashboards of Lagos buses—personal shrines that showcase the resilience and inventive spirit of the city's people. These details serve as meaningful reflections of life in Lagos. Phase II of Cabinet of Curiosity shifts from objects to people — pairing dashboard photographs with portraits and conversations that reveal the drivers behind these moving altars. Godiva has shared images from "Cabinet of Curiosity" for #TPGTakeovers.
