Develop, Extended Realities: History of Extended Reality (XR)

6:30pm, Wed 09 Oct 2024

18-24 year olds can join this online session to learn about the history of Extended Reality

Join transdisciplinary artist Paula Strunden who will share her insights and knowledge about the history of Extended Reality (XR). Paula will map key developments of XR, including Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR) and Mixed Reality (MR), with particular focus on the role of female pioneers in the history of virtual technologies.

The talk will give a context to think about how virtual spaces have been formed, and how they continue to be a place for experimentation, narrative building, research, and play.

There will be an opportunity to ask questions and join group discussions.
