This event is part of our Past Programme

This event is part of the Develop youth programme which is open to 14 to 24 year olds. Please only sign up if you are within the age bracket.

How does a magazine get made? Where do editors find photographers, writers, and ideas? How do you pitch to publications, and what are they looking for?

Joined by British Journal of Photography's editor Izabela Radwanska Zhang, this Develop event will explore the editorial industry, demystifying what’s needed to produce both print and online magazines. Running since 1854, the British Journal of Photography is the nation’s leading arts photography magazine, a bimonthly publication and online platform examining contemporary photography. Izabela will present her work at the magazine, before answering questions and giving advice on how to get started in the photo editorial world.
