This event is part of the Develop youth programme which is open to 14 to 24 year olds. Please only sign up if you are within the age bracket.

Artist, photographer and filmmaker Simon Fredrick has spent the last 25 years making waves in creative industries. He conceived, directed and produced 'They’ve Gotta Have Us’ part of the Black Lives Matter Collection on ’Netflix’ and  the award winning series 'Black Is The New Black for the BBC. The portraits shot during the making of the series, of  the likes of Naomi Campbell and Trevor McDonald, hang in the National Portrait Gallery. Most recently, he’s directed a new YouTube Originals documentary series The Outsiders?, which profiles a host of young black stars.

Join this talk where Simon will be sharing his experience getting in and getting on in the industry; from his move away from advertising to being a household name. It will be a chance to gain advice and ask questions directly. This one’s not to be missed!
