Beginning with a closer look at a selection of images from We Others: Donna Gottschalk and Hélène Giannecchini, alongside excerpts from key feminist and lesbian texts, this event will reflect on notions of intimacy, activism and friendship.
Through prompts and discussion, this discussion is a space to connect perspectives and personal experiences to wider queer histories. Readings will include selections from Le mouvement féministe est un complot lesbien (USA 1969–1974) and the work of poet and activist Pat Parker, whose collection Movement in Black offers a powerful lens on race, sexuality and liberation.
Led by K Bailey Obazee (founder of storytelling platform PRIM).
