Speakers' Biogs:

Lauren Hillsdon is a London-based photographer originally from Manchester. Her personal-focused practice includes the exploration of the self through everyday life, ideas of femininity as well as interior and exterior space. The importance of space is used to identify emotional connections, in particular how the home can influence and shape a person. Nostalgia and sentimentality infiltrates all aspects of Hillsdon’s work as she employs a documentary style through the use of analogue photography.

Manish Patel is Senior Printer at Metro Imaging and has worked in photography for over 20 years. He began his career working in photographic darkrooms in the heart of London’s West End, familiarising himself with clients and gaining a wealth of experience in all aspects of photography. At Metro Imaging he has worked with worked with photographers including Nadav Kander and Edward Burtynsky, creating fine art digital c-types up to 10 ft long.
