Biographies
Evgenia Arbugaeva (b.1985) grew up in the secluded port city Tiksi on the shore of the Laptev Sea, Russia and although now based in London, remains deeply connected to her birthplace. Her work is often located within the tradition of magical realism, and her approach combines documentary and narrative styles to create a distinctive visual iconography rooted in real experience but resonant with fable, myth and romanticism.
Anna Dannemann is a senior curator at The Photographers’ Gallery in London, United Kingdom. She curated numerous exhibitions since joining the gallery in 2013, including the annual Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation Prize, Feminist Avant-Garde (with Gabriele Schor) and Four Saints in Three Acts (with Patricia Almer & John Sears).
Pay What You Can
In light of the unprecedented challenges we are all facing at this time, we have introduced Pay What You Can ticketing for many of our online talks and events.
Anyone can book on to one of these events and pay as much or as little as they are able. A typical ticket would cost between £5 and £8. Any more than that is greatly appreciated and goes directly into supporting our public programmes.
By booking for this event you agree to our Terms & Conditions.
