This event is part of our Past Programme

18.00 BST (on Zoom)

Younger generations are in many ways a step ahead in thinking about the threat of the planet’s ecological collapse and the role humans play in this.

In this session, leader of the Northern Sustainable Darkroom Edd Carr and co-founder of London Alternative Photography Collective Hannah Fletcher  will address photography and it’s relationship to the environment. They will discuss some of photography’s contributions to environmental harm, provide examples of artists using alternative, more sustainable practice and introduce some practical ideas for greener ways of working with photography in the classroom

Please bring along any examples of sustainable photography practices (big or small!) you/your pupils have undertaken in the classroom.
