This event is part of our Past Programme

Audience joined Constant Dullaart for his Screen Walk:

“Snowflakes, your blizzard needs you! Your social media profile is a weapon, be recruited, the fight to reclaim our space in the information wars has begun. Elections are lost and won. Now command your online voice and image to join the coordinated resistance efforts of performative astroturfing. Alongside automated artificial klout, professional trolls and writing teams, you have a chance to be recruited in the new armie. An army of civilians, locals, pedestrians, users, trolls and bots. Join us, to retake this the socials with purely ornamental discord.”

Screen Walk with Constant Dullaart

Screen Walks is a series of live-streamed artist/researcher-led explorations of online spaces and artistic strategies designed to illuminate a thriving – often overlooked – digital cultural scene. A new online collaboration between The Photographers’ Gallery, UK and Fotomuseum Winterthur, Switzerland. Screen Walks is kindly supported by: Pro Helvetia, Swiss Arts Council.

Biography

Constant Dullaart‘s practice reflects on the broad cultural and social effects of communication and image processing technologies, from performatively distributing artificial social capital on social media to completing a staff-pick Kickstarter campaign for a hardware start-up called DulltechTM. His work includes websites, performances, routers, installations, startups, armies, and manipulated found images, frequently juxtaposing or consolidating technically dichotomised presentation realms.
