Working across photography, text, poetry and video, Amak Mahmoodian explores themes of exile, memory and belonging, with a particular focus on how displacement shapes inner lives and the collective imaginary.
In this event, Mahmoodian will discuss One Hundred and Twenty Minutes, a long-term collaborative project that draws on conversations about dreams with people living in exile. Reflecting on dreaming as a shared human experience, she will consider how photography can create spaces of connection across borders, time and personal histories.
