As the UK runs headlong towards Brexit, we present an ode to the Mediterranean by Spanish filmmaker Ana Pfaff. Painstakingly assembled from thousands of photographs sourced from books, magazines and the web, it offers a mutating image of the area as a cultural and tourist destination and at the centre of an environmental and migration crisis.
Ana Pfaff is a film editor and filmmaker who studied at the ESCAC and the UPF. Many of the films she has edited have won plaudits at festivals in Spain and overseas, including Carla Simón’s ESTIU 1993, Meritxell Collel’s CON EL VIENTO, Carolina Astudillo’s AINHOA: YO NO SOY ESA, Eloy Dominguez Serén's HAMADA, Adrián Orr’s NIÑATO and Diana Toucedo’s TRINTA LUMES. She lectures and gives workshops for several masters and postgraduate courses. As a filmmaker she is a founding member of the Dostopos collective.
