Develop Career Talk: Portrait Photography

Gain insight into connecting and building trust through portraiture

This event is part of our Past Programme

Portrait photography is as much about what goes on before and after a photograph is taken, as it is about the click of the camera shutter. Join us for an in-person talk with photographer Mariana Pires. She explores the importance of creating a safe, comfortable environment when photographing people.  Discover the techniques she uses, building genuine interactions to capture powerful, emotive portraits.

This informal session is for 18-24-year-olds interested in developing their knowledge and skills in photography, as well as pursuing photography as a career. There will be time for questions and discussion after Mariana’s talk.
