Join us on the studio floor where Edd Carr will lead a full-day workshop on how to make an animation from cyanotype prints!
The workshop will begin by learning how to make digital negatives and printing them on acetate. After that you'll hand print your stills onto cyanotype paper. Once they are dry they will be scanned and made into a short cyanotype animation!
The workshop will run from 11.00 - 16.00 and all equipment will be provided.
About Edd Carr
Edd Carr is an artist based in Leeds, UK. Adapting photographic processes into moving image - his work depicts our relationship to ecological crisis and the wider nonhuman world. Edd’s moving image work has been exhibited worldwide, and he has won multiple awards - most recently the Channel 4 Random Acts Award. Edd is also one of the leaders of the Sustainable Darkroom, a non-profit organisation dedicated to the research, development, and advocacy of eco-friendly alternatives to analogue and digital photography.
