Register for the Rare Earth WalkThe Screen Walks Weekend will continue the playful yet critical exploration of the world of digital images and online visual culture: from exploring TikTok screens with Nina Davies to searching for minerals on the banks of the Thames with Max Dovey, from collective AI image creation activities to a tour of the media powers that occupy Soho with Alistair Gentry.
All activities are free but RSVP is required.

Register for the Rare Earth WalkVisitors to the gallery on Saturday afternoon, 14.00 – 17.00, can partake in the collective creation of a surrealist image through the use of contemporary AI generative software. Each participant is asked to contribute to the exquisite corpse with a prompt extending the image using Dall-E’s “outpainting” feature. Join the game while engaging in conversation about AI and machine learning in the field of imaging systems with other creators. The final image will be sent to all co-creators.

Register for A Sleazy TourAs a closing event of the weekend, the audience is invited to join a closing brunch at the cafe of The Photographers’ Gallery. Here participants are invited to bring their smartphone and engage in a tournament of Photo Roulette, competing to recognise mobile photos and win the title of Screen Walks Weekend Champion.
