Develop, Extended Realities: Creating Gaming Worlds

18-24 year olds can join this in-person practical workshop

This event is part of our Past Programme

How are virtual worlds created?

This hands-on workshop will take participants through a range of exercises including role play and virtual reality 3D modelling. Together, we will explore ideas about how we experience the world – through our bodies and minds – and how these sensations might be translated into an emotional and immersive gaming world.

By attending this workshop, you’ll gain an understanding of how gaming worlds are created, as well as some key concepts in gaming and science fiction such as embodiment and ‘World Reduction’ and gain some hands-on experience in the ways virtual worlds are considered and created.
