Connection Established: Bring Your Own Website

6:00pm, Fri 24 Apr 2026

Drawing from the spirit and structure of the Internet Phone Book, this meet-up brings together artists, writers, and thinkers featured in the guide for an informal gathering.

As part of Connection Established: Digital Folklore and Web Craft,, Anne Lee Steele will join us as our host to introduce the Internet Phone Book, her own practice and create a space for those working across craft webs to connect, share practices, and extend the network offline. You bring your laptop, we’ll supply the projector and let’s all share what we’re working on!

The event will be led by Anne Lee Steele, an artist, researcher, and facilitator. Over a little less than a decade, she has contributed to a variety of initiatives spanning open infrastructures, responsible technology, and cultural engagement – through roles, fellowships, collaborations, and more at a variety of organisations including the Alan Turing Institute, Internet Society, Missing Maps, Open Knowledge Foundation and School of Commons.

The Internet Phone Book is an annual publication for exploring the vast poetic web, featuring essays, musings and a directory with the personal websites of hundreds of designers, developers, writers, curators, and educators.
