Teen Tours

Our acclaimed Teen Tours invite young people to lead free public tours on Saturday afternoons to enrich their own understanding and offer audiences new perspectives on our exhibitions.

Established in 2005, Teen Tours is a dedicated programme aimed at giving 13-19-year-olds an opportunity to develop their critical thinking and public speaking skills using our exhibitions as a springboard. Each speaker is encouraged to draw on their own experience and ideas to give audiences a unique take on the work on show.

Each 20-minute tour is supported by dedicated mentoring and includes opportunities to meet exhibition curators and exhibiting artists, as well as attend exhibition-related talks and events. All staff working directly with the participants are DBS checked and safeguard trained.

We are particularly interested in hearing from young people who would otherwise not have this opportunity, who haven't addressed a large audience before and who are looking to develop their confidence in public speaking. Young people can also use this public presentation as part of their Arts Award work.

Please email teentours@tpg.org.uk to register your interest or ask any questions.
