The Photographers’ Gallery’s ongoing programme around the climate emergency is twofold: focusing on exhibitions and public programmes that use photographic methods to raise awareness, educate, and uncover the climate crisis, while also critically interrogating the environmental impact of photography itself. It includes online commissions that link biodiversity changes to electronic equipment; satellite images gathered collaboratively from situated positions across the world; DIY videos towards more sustainable photography; and discussions between artists whose practices directly respond to the unfolding crisis.
