Open Space is an Augmented Reality initiative comprised of artist commissions and a mentoring programme for young artists (aged 18-24).

Curated in collaboration with Zaiba Jabbar, Open Space presents three site specific AR commissions by Keiken, Hyphen-Labs and Josèfa Ntjam to be experienced in the Soho Photography Quarter, a new public art space in the immediate surroundings of The Photographers’ Gallery.

Zaiba Jabbar, Keiken, Hyphen-Labs and Josèfa Ntjam are also involved in mentoring 20 UK-based 18-24 year olds. The free online mentorship programme consists of 4 workshops introducing the participants to AR tools and techniques, as well as critical thought around AR production, followed by a series of one-to-one sessions to develop 6 new AR projects.
