We’re looking for a Café Assistant to join our friendly, visitor‑focused team at The Photographers’ Gallery Café. If you enjoy working with people, preparing great food and drink, and helping create a welcoming space, this is a great opportunity to develop your skills in a busy cultural venue. 

The Photographers’ Gallery explores how photography is connecting and reshaping our world today. Across our exhibitions, talks, workshops, digital programmes and commercial spaces – including the Café, Bookshop and Print Sales Gallery – we aim to create an inclusive, vibrant environment for all visitors. Our Café is a lively social space serving speciality coffee, beer and wine, and a seasonal menu of sandwiches, salads and cakes. 

As a Café Assistant, you’ll help ensure every visitor has a positive experience. You’ll prepare and serve high‑quality food and drinks, provide attentive and approachable service, and help keep the café clean, safe and well‑organised. You’ll take orders, handle payments, promote seasonal products, and support busy periods with ease. 

You’ll also work closely with colleagues across the Gallery and may support other commercial areas – such as Admissions, the Print Sales Gallery or the Bookshop – as part of a flexible team approach, with full training provided.
